Switzerland wins chaotic Eurovision Final with massive jury vote
Switzerland has won the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. Nemo took the trophy (and broke it on stage) with his song “The Code”. He beat out Croatia’s televote winner Baby Lasagna by a small margin. Ukraine came in 3rd with their song “Mama Teresa”.
This year marked a historic Eurovision Song Contest for all the wrong reasons. The final two days were marred by incidents including the disqualification of Netherlands’ Joost Klein leading to EBU’s Martin Österdahl being booed in the audience.
In the end, however, it all came down to a battle between jury favorite Switzerland and televote favorite Baby Lasagna as if everything else had not happened. Switzerland prevailed.
