Read back: How France nailed Jury rehearsal of the Grand Final of Eurovision 2025

Tomorrow it’s time for the grand final of Eurovision 2025. 26 countries will compete for the trophy in the long awaiting final of the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest. But 50% of the results will already be decided tonight! Follow the jury rehearsal with us. In this blog you can read what we think of the vocal qualities of each country, and how we think the juries will react to their performance.

NOTE: The star ratings are our indication of how likely it is that the professional jury might vote for this performance. They do not display any personal preferences.

Juries are mostly singers, they don’t analyse things like this, you said the same as Finland with Chanel in 2022 and look at her jury result.

Hey Lolorito, thank you so much for following our blog, not only tonight but for several years back. The fact that you remember our comments from back in 2022, we take it as an amazing compliment 🙂

Juries are demonstrably very analytical and rational in their voting; however, they also care about image, as we noted tonight in our description of Portugal. As for Finland’s result: let’s see if she can surprise us like Chanel did in 2022! Chanel certainly sang a lot better than Erika did tonight, though…

I’m curious you mention the FOP-effect for Sweden with the Sauna, how is that any different to say JJ’s boat? I get that he has vocal range and technical skill, but it still feels like he’s hiding behind/relying a giant prop.

Hey Eric, thanks for your question. Obviously all our comments are predictions and only by tonight will we know for sure whether we are right or wrong. However, the FOP-effect does not apply to just any prop – juries in the past have specifically downgraded songs that were meant to be taken as a joke. We think Sweden fits that bill, while Austria has actually done everything to radiate seriousness.
