Jury Final: Nemo tops our Vocal Assessment for Eurovision 2024 Grand Final
Tomorrow it’s time for the grand final of Eurovision 2024. 26 countries will compete for the trophy in the long awaiting final of the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest. But 50% of the results will already be decided tonight! Follow the jury rehearsal with us. In this blog you can read what we think of the vocal qualities of each country, and how we think the juries will react to their performance.
NOTE: The star ratings are our indication of how likely it is that the professional jury might vote for this performance. They do not display any personal preferences.

Whats happening with Joost Klein?
Where is star rating for ireland, latvia and greece?
Hey Adrians! Thanks for joining us. We added the star ratings later. Things went so quickly during the show that at sometimes, we were unable to keep up. We apologize for the delay, however you can read all star ratings in the blog right now!
Portugal – ‘flawless performance’ – 2.5 stars.
Netherlands – ‘flat’…’several red flags’…’FOP effect’ – 2.5 stars
Not sure where Portugal has lost so many stars, given the review.
Hey Jam! We gave Netherlands 2 stars, somewhere towards the bottom. Portugal will be somewhere in the middle-of-the-pack (we think, anyway). Thank you for following us tonight!
Many thanks for this detailed write up of the performances. Is the Portugal rating of 2.5 stars correct, given the description of flawless?
Hey James, we will see how correct we are on Saturday. However I would like to note that the genre of the Portuguese song is not something juries have historically gone crazy for. Thank you for joining us tonight!
what does “FOP” mean?
Hey Horse, thanks for your comment! You can read all about it in this article: https://escdaily.com/2024/05/jury-jargon-quick-explanation-of-our-jury-rehearsal-liveblog/
