Fyr & Flamme has won the final of DMGP 2021 and will perform the song ‘Øve os på hinanden’ for Denmark at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam. Denmark will compete in the second half of the second semi final.

Fyr & Flamme beat surprise runner-up Jean Michel in the final round with a smashing 72% of the votes. Meanwhile, Chief 1 & Thomas Buttenschøn finished 3rd. In the first round, a professional jury voted together with televoting to pick 3 superfinalists. In the superfinal, the results were 100% televoting.

Denmark deliberately chose for a national final with live orchestra. This led to a rather uniform final field filled with outdated songs and performances.
