Breaking News: Eurovision 2011 Dates confirmed!

Following their first meeting today with NDR, the German Host Broadcaster for the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest, the EBU confirmed revised dates for the first and second Semi-Finals, and the Grand Final, of the 56th edition of the Contest. The dates have been changed from those originally announced so that they do not clash with major sporting events happening in the country at the same time, and are now as follows:

First Semi-Final: 10th May 2011
Second Semi-Final: 12th May 2011
Grand Final: 14th May 2011

There has been no decision made yet regarding the host city, although an annoucement is expected in September. Several cities in Germany have been asked to submit proposals in an effort to bid to host the event.
